This Red Oak bowl measures 9″ in diameter by 2 3/4″ deep. Some may see the split as a defect along with all the worm holes. These help add to the character of the bowl and the aged look that I was trying to achieve. It is stained with a solution made of vinegar and steel wool and finished with a liberal coat of mineral oil from the local drug store.
